I am Sitaphal Sidhan, the orchard’s creamy pearl. My segmented green fruits hide a soft, sweet custard-like pulp, loved fresh or in desserts.
I am a tropical fruit tree producing Sidhan custard apples.
Native to tropical America; Sidhan variety cultivated in India.
Water weekly; drought-tolerant once mature.
Requires full sun.
Thrives in 22–35°C; sensitive to frost.
Plant in sandy-loam soil; spacing 5–6 meters apart.
Apply compost and NPK 8:10:10 every 2–3 months.
Botanical name: Annona squamosa (Sidhan cultivar); Family: Annonaceae.
Fruits are safe; seeds not edible.
Moderate; leafy canopy reduces dust.
Fruits rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants; eaten fresh, in milkshakes, or desserts.
Susceptible to fruit borer, anthracnose, and leaf spot; prune for airflow and monitor regularly.
Can live 15–20 years; starts fruiting in 3–4 years; peak yield from year 8 onward.
