I am Sundrop, the orchard’s sunshine jewel. My glowing orange fruits burst with a tangy-sweet flavor, refreshing like tropical citrus with a hint of mango.
I am a tropical fruit tree producing sundrop fruits.
Native to the Amazon rainforest (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru).
Irrigate weekly; prefer moist, well-drained soil.
Requires full sun to partial shade.
Thrives in 22–30°C; sensitive to frost.
Plant in sandy-loam soil; spacing 4–5 meters apart.
Apply compost and balanced NPK every 2–3 months.
Botanical name: Eugenia victoriana; Family: Myrtaceae.
Fruits are safe; seeds edible but usually discarded.
Moderate; leafy canopy reduces dust.
Fruits rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber; eaten fresh, juiced, or made into jams.
Susceptible to fruit fly and anthracnose; prune for airflow and monitor regularly.
Can live 15–20 years; starts fruiting in 3–4 years; peak yield from year 8 onward.
