I am Rolinia, the orchard’s golden custard. My spiky yellow fruits hide a creamy pulp with a tropical sweetness that tastes like lemon meringue pie.
I am a tropical fruit tree producing biriba fruits.
Native to the Amazon rainforest (Brazil, Peru); cultivated in tropical regions worldwide.
Irrigate weekly; prefer moist, well-drained soil.
Requires full sun.
Thrives in 22–32°C; sensitive to frost.
Plant in sandy-loam soil; spacing 6–8 meters apart.
Apply compost and NPK 8:10:10 every 2–3 months.
Botanical name: Annona mucosa; Family: Annonaceae.
Fruits are safe; seeds not edible.
Moderate; leafy canopy reduces dust.
Fruits rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants; eaten fresh or in desserts.
Susceptible to fruit borer, anthracnose, and root rot; prune for airflow and monitor regularly.
Can live 15–20 years; starts fruiting in 3–4 years; peak yield from year 8 onward.
