I am Madan, a tall, graceful tree known for my deep purple fruits and medicinal bark. My presence is common across tropical regions, and I’m cherished in Ayurveda for my healing properties. My fruits are sweet and tangy, while my bark and seeds are used to treat digestive and metabolic issues. I’m not just a tree—I’m a remedy, a shade-giver, and a symbol of resilience.

Native to tropical Asia, widely grown in India and Sri Lanka.
Water deeply once or twice a week; more in dry seasons.
Full sun to partial shade.
Thrives in warm climates between 20–35°C.
Plant in deep, well-drained soil; allow space for canopy spread.
Apply compost or organic manure twice a year.
Botanical name: Syzygium cumini; Family: Myrtaceae.
Fruits are safe in moderation; bark and seeds should not be ingested by pets.
