All Details

I am Sweet Kokum, the ruby jewel of coastal orchards. My deep purple fruits hold pulp that is naturally sweet, unlike the sour kokum used in curries. I thrive in warm, humid climates, offering farmers reliable harvests and families a refreshing summer delicacy.

I am a grafted kokum cultivar producing naturally sweet fruits.

Native to the Western Ghats of India; grafted selections developed for orchard consistency.

Water weekly; drought-tolerant once mature.

Requires full sun to partial shade.

Thrives in 25–35°C; sensitive to frost.

Plant in well-drained lateritic or sandy-loam soil; spacing 6–8 meters apart.

Apply compost and NPK 8:10:10 annually; supplement with micronutrients like magnesium and boron.

Botanical name: Garcinia indica; Cultivar: Sweet Kokum (Graft); Family: Clusiaceae.

Fruits are safe; seeds edible but bitter.

Moderate; dense canopy reduces dust.

Fruits rich in anthocyanins, vitamin C, and antioxidants; used in syrups, squashes, and Ayurvedic remedies.

Susceptible to fruit rot, leaf spot, and scale insects; prune for airflow and monitor regularly.

Can live 40–50 years; grafted plants fruit in 3–4 years; peak yield from year 10 onward.

Everyday: from 8:00AM to 6:00PM
