All Details

I am a famous high-density hybrid mango variety, widely loved for my dwarf stature and my exceptionally sweet, deep orange flesh. I produce medium-sized, oblong fruits with a greenish-yellow skin. My flesh is renowned for having the highest carotene content among all mangoes, offering a rich, fiberless texture and a heavy, sweet aroma that is truly unforgettable.

I am a heavy-fruiting, dwarf mango variety specifically designed for small spaces and high-density orchards, known for bearing fruit consistently every year.

I was developed by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in New Delhi in 1971, created by crossing the Dasheri and Neelam mango varieties.

I require regular and consistent watering, especially during my flowering and fruiting stages, but ensure the soil is well-drained to prevent root rot.

I thrive in full, direct sunlight; I need at least 8 hours of sun daily to develop my intense orange internal color and high sugar levels.

I am well-suited for a variety of tropical and subtropical climates between 22°C and 38°C and can handle the dry heat of North India very well.

I am the perfect choice for home gardens or even large pots because of my compact, dwarf growth habit; I can be planted much closer together than traditional mango trees.

I am a prolific bearer and require a good supply of organic nutrients; feed me with well-rotted manure and a balanced NPK fertilizer twice a year.

My scientific name is Mangifera indica 'Amrapali' and I belong to the Anacardiaceae family.

My fruit is safe for pets in moderation, but my sap, leaves, and pit contain natural irritants and should be kept away from them.

Despite my small size, my dense, dark green foliage is excellent at producing oxygen and filtering the air in urban garden spaces.

I am a nutritional powerhouse, containing significantly more Vitamin A than most other mangoes, and my small tree size makes harvesting my fruit very easy.

I can be susceptible to mango hoppers and mealybugs, so regular monitoring and organic pest control are recommended to protect my heavy fruit clusters.

I am a sturdy and productive perennial tree that will continue to provide you with incredibly sweet harvests for 30 to 40 years.
