All Details

I am a world-class gourmet mango variety, widely considered one of the best for my exceptional flavor and "melt-in-your-mouth" texture. I produce large, oval fruits with a deep green skin that develops a beautiful dark red blush when exposed to the sun. My flesh is a rich golden-yellow, entirely fiberless, and intensely sweet with subtle hints of peach and nectarine.

I am a premium, late-season mango variety known for my superior eating quality, juicy pulp, and remarkably small seed, providing a high yield of fruit.

I originated in Coconut Grove, Florida, in the 1940s as a seedling of the Brooks variety and have since become a global favorite.

I require regular, deep watering during the flowering and fruiting stages, but I prefer a drier soil period just before harvest to concentrate my sugars.

I thrive in full, direct sunlight; I need plenty of sun to develop my signature red blush and to ensure my flesh reaches its peak sweetness.

I love warm, tropical to subtropical climates between 20°C and 35°C and must be protected from frost, which can damage my fruit-bearing branches.

I have a large, upright growth habit and need plenty of space and deep, well-draining soil to accommodate my vigorous root system.

I am a moderate feeder; I appreciate organic compost in the spring and a balanced fertilizer with trace minerals to maintain my health and fruit quality.

My scientific name is Mangifera indica 'Kent' and I belong to the Anacardiaceae family.

My fruit is a safe treat for pets, but keep them away from my leaves and sap, which can cause skin irritation, and never let them chew on my pit.

My large, dense evergreen canopy is highly effective at filtering pollutants and providing cooling shade to your garden.

I am an excellent source of vitamins A and C, and because I am a late-season variety, I extend the mango harvest long after other varieties have finished.

I am somewhat susceptible to anthracnose in humid climates, so I benefit from good air circulation and monitoring during rainy periods.

I am a sturdy and long-lived perennial tree that can provide you with legendary, gourmet harvests for 40 to 60 years or more.
