All Details

I am a stunningly beautiful mango variety often called the "Apple Mango" due to my bright, attractive red-to-purple skin and ovate shape. My flesh is a deep lemon-yellow, completely fiberless, and offers a mild, delicate sweetness with a smooth, melting texture that makes me a favorite for fresh eating.

I am a premium ornamental and commercial mango variety known for my eye-catching crimson blush and my soft, juicy, fiber-free pulp.

I was originally developed as a seedling of the Lippens variety in South Florida in the 1940s and have since become world-famous.

I prefer regular watering during my fruit-growing period, but please ensure my soil is well-drained to prevent my roots from becoming waterlogged.

I love the sun; I need full, direct sunlight to develop my signature deep red color and to ensure my fruit is sweet and flavorful.

I thrive in warm, subtropical to tropical climates between 20°C and 33°C and am quite sensitive to frost and freezing temperatures.

I have a moderately vigorous, upright growth habit, making me well-suited for medium-sized gardens or even large containers with regular pruning.

I enjoy being fed with organic compost in the spring and a balanced fertilizer with micronutrients to keep my foliage lush and my fruit production high.

My scientific name is Mangifera indica 'Irwin' and I belong to the Anacardiaceae family.

My fruit is a safe and healthy snack for pets in small amounts, but keep them away from my leaves and sap which can cause skin irritation.

My glossy, evergreen leaves are excellent at filtering the air and providing a refreshing, oxygen-rich environment year-round.

I am rich in Vitamin A and antioxidants, and my beautiful appearance makes me as much a decorative garden piece as I am a fruit producer.

I am known for having good resistance to anthracnose, but you should still monitor me for thrips and powdery mildew during the flowering stage.

I am a long-lived perennial tree that can provide you with beautiful "ruby" harvests for 30 to 40 years with proper care.
